Thomas Yeadon

Co-Founder

Thomas’ journey as an educator began long before his time at the University of Oxford. While still a student in school, Thomas discovered a passion for tutoring, recognizing the significant impact that one-on-one support could have on a student’s academic and personal development. This early experience laid the foundation for what would eventually become Cortex Tutors, a company he co-founded during his university years.

At the heart of Cortex Tutors is the philosophy that we are not just tutors, but mentors.

We are built on the idea that tutors should serve not just as educators, but as mentors and role models. Under Thomas’s leadership, Cortex Tutors focuses on developing well-rounded students who are not only academically strong but also emotionally resilient and confident. Each tutor is carefully chosen for their ability to nurture both the minds and the emotional well-being of their students.

With over five years of experience in online and in-person tutoring, Jess has developed exceptional expertise and a deep passion for education. Her extensive journey has fueled her commitment to shaping each child's learning path through personalized, one-on-one instruction.

Inspired to revolutionize academic support, Jess envisioned creating a platform that would elevate students' educational experiences. Upon meeting Thomas, whose goals aligned perfectly, they joined forces to establish Cortex Tutors—a groundbreaking educational initiative designed to unlock every student's full potential.

Under Jess and Thomas's leadership, Cortex Tutors continues to transform educational support. By nurturing critical thinking, self-assurance, and a love for learning, they're shaping a new generation of capable, confident learners prepared for success in all areas of life.
